The First Night’s Camp.

Well two days in and we have already had an adventure…  Everything got off to a good beginning on Monday even though we had a late start.    We stopped a few times in the forests and went for some short walks.   My favorite stop though was in Downieville where I got to wade in the river (no rock digging though).   We finally  made it up to Plumas National Forest where we camped for the night.    As you can see we didn’t set up the tent and I had my first night sleeping in the van.   It was a little warm at first but I got Roger to open the windows and then it was OK.    And I don’t think any sneaky bears came around looking for food.   Got to run for now.   Will update you on Tuesdays big adventures a little later.

Time to Hit the Road!

Well we are off on our first adventure!!!     We are off to visit Grandma and Aunt Patti (and all their dogs) in North Dakota.  Roger has been busy for over a week getting us (and the house) ready to leave (and has he been stressed about it….I am glad we are leaving.).  Well, time to hit the road.

Hello.  My name is Simon.  I am a 6 year old Chesapeake Bay Retriever from Northern California.  My human’s name is Roger.  We have been living together for just over 4 years.   I like to go for long walks, play fetch, and dig for rocks in the river.  (Actually I am kind of obsessed with digging for rocks in the river.)  We are going to start traveling more and so I asked Roger to create this website so I can tell all my friends where I am and what fun I am having.   Roger may post some things too.
